Towards a New Frontier

Chinese New Year won’t be Chinese New Year without a go at the Prosperity Burger from McDonald’s. As the name suggests, it should bring prosperity to the person who consumes it? nahh.. it’s just an auspicious marketing strategy.

The Prosperity Burger is only available each year during the CNY season. As such, if you missed it, you will have to wait another year before you can enjoy it again.

As usual, the prosperity burger has a large piece of chicken meat, sandwiched in between two rectangular buns. The main thing about this burger is that the meat is covered in black pepper sauce and onions. Nothing else. The taste is just magnificent. It contains the aroma of the black pepper: salty+spicy. Even though the meat and bun are large, the quantity does seem insufficient to fill the stomache of those who can appreciate it

I had had a friend who said the Prosperity Burger is nothing but nonsense. I think the difference here is due to I am from Sarawak and he’s from Penang. Sarawak is renowned as the state for black pepper production. So, black pepper taste rocks!

There’s suppose to be a Prosperity Foldover this year too. But I had not had the chance to taste it yet. Maybe got to wait another year I think.
